Wine Sign
A concept between Science and Wine

Faced with the hundreds of grape varieties and appellations, it is often difficult to find a wine which fully fits the definition of "perfect".

Philippe Raoux and Frédéric Brochet devised the concept of the Wine Sign together to encourage and assist consumers in improving their understanding of their tastes.

Philippe Raoux, a château owner and wine trader in Bordeaux, represents the 4th generation of a family that has greatly contributed to shaping the current world of wines. The Raoux family was at the origin of wine sales by mail order, the creation of the "Bag-in-Box" and the opening of the first French Winery near the renowned Margaux appellation.

Frédéric Brochet is a French expert in sensory analysis. A biochemistry expert and author of the first doctoral thesis on the subject of wine tasting (with Denis Dubourdieu, a famous French winemaker as his tutor), Frédéric Brochet also designs and creates contemporary wines in the Haut Poitou area.
